Cats’ Eye View

<< Back

July 2, 2010

Hi all!  It’s Ozzy here. Can you believe it’s the 4th of July weekend already? Kobe and I believe Independence Day was invented especially for cats because of our independent nature, so it’s our favorite holiday by far!

In keeping with the spirit of the weekend, we’re holding a Feline Independence adoption promotion so the many cats and kittens in our shelter can celebrate the holiday in their new homes. We couldn’t wait, so we started the promotion yesterday.

Here’s the deal: Every day through July 6 (except Sunday, July 4, when Help Our Friendsthe shelter will be closed), all cats and kittens in the shelter will be available for adoption for only $17.76! And, if that’s not enough, thanks to a donation from Pethealth, Inc., the first 100 animals (cats and dogs) adopted on those days will go home with a free, registered 24petwatch microchip. (Yes, if you’d like to adopt a dog or puppy, we’re OK with that, too.)

Kobe just had an idea. Once you get your new pet settled in at home, you know you’re going to take lots of pictures of him or her, so he thinks you should enter our 2011 Pet Calendar Contest. The deadline is July 16 – just two weeks away – so don’t delay. Click here for all the rules. Kobe and I generally don’t care for rules, but we know sometimes they’re needed!

Have a happy and safe holiday weekend with your friends and family, furry and otherwise.

Until next week…

Love and purrs,
Kobe and Ozzy
