Ozzy here! I’m back! I know it’s hard to believe, but I really don’t sleep all the time! See, I’m a pretty busy guy. Every morning I greet the staff as the come in, I play with Mr. Featherman, constantly roll on my back because everyone just has to rub my belly, and I can’t end a day without a daily workout of climbing. It just so happens that my brother, Kobe, likes to start writing on Fridays, during my scheduled nap time.
But enough about me! I really wanted to write to you this week to tell you all about my friend Ace! Guess what? Ace is a dog! It’s easy to be friends with Ace! He seems just seems to always be smiling.

I wanted to share with you Ace’s story. He is a 7-year-old beagle mix. Ace was brought to the APL because his owner was very sick and could not take care of him anymore. But Ace’s owner loved him a lot! But he may have loved him a little too much. You see, Ace is very overweight. (I identify with Ace because I am a bit, ah, “fluffy” myself!)

The great staff and volunteers here at the APL helped him loose 20 pounds since October! But Ace still has a long way to go. He is going to have to remain on a strict diet as well as continue exercising to make sure he has a healthy life. I believe Ace can do it! This happy-go-lucky guy needs to find the right home that will help him lose weight and give him tons of love. (My tip of the day: Walk a hound, lose a pound! It will help both you and Ace get in shape!)
I really hope that Ace and all of the animals here find loving homes! Until then, they are in a great place here at the APL wi

th a ton of people who love them! But there is just nothing like being home for the holidays.
Love and purrs,
Kobe and Ozzy
